Activities
The Business & Innovation Living-Learning Community was created to provide both community-building and developmental programming throughout the year. Many of our events are planned by our B&I LLC Student Leadership Council, which you can apply for in the fall! These students get the opportunity to gain leadership skills, plan our events, and serve as representatives for our LLC in the greater Baylor community. Here are some of the exciting things to look forward to:
B&I LLC Leadership Dinner Series - "Leaders at the Table"
One of the highlights of the B&I LLC is learning from leaders who are making a difference in their communities and professions. Throughout the year, we welcome Baylor faculty & staff, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and alumni to share their leadership journeys, career experiences, and lessons learned. Four to five times each semester, students gather together to hear from these guests, ask questions, and build meaningful connections.
Lobby Coffee Cart
You need to study, and we've got you covered! 24/7, we have a coffee cart set up in the Brooks Flats Lobby for you to enjoy! Enjoy coffee, tea, and snacks.
B&I LLC + Start Up and Innovation Club (SIC) Membership
Have an entrepreneurial mindset? We encourage B&I LLC students to joint the Startup and Innovation Club (SIC)--and we'll even cover your membership dues! SIC empowers student entrepreneurs with resources, education, and real-world experience. Join a driven community in an incubator-style setting with direct access to professors, focused time for your ideas, and connections to Waco’s entrepreneurial network. Take-A-Break "TAB" Thursday
Thursdays from 11:30am-1:30pm, stop by the Brooks Flats Lobby for free treats, good conversation, and time to connect with friends! Throughout the semester, we also invite campus partners and business student organizations to join us, making TAB Thursdays a great way to build relationships in Brooks Flats and across campus.
Fajitas with the FIR (Faculty-in-Residence)
Once a month, Dr. Lee Grumbles serves fajitas in the Brooks Flats Lobby! It's a time to enjoy dinner with your community, and meet new friends. Come hungry!
B&I LLC @ Topgolf
Each September, the entire LLC heads to Topgolf for one of our signature events of the year. Enjoy dinner, reserved playing bays, and mini-golf! It'll be a great time to get to know each other... and a little friendly competition to kick-off the semester.
Night at the Movies
Grab your friends, and join us at Cinemark Waco for a movie! Once a semester, we reserve an auditorium just for our students and enjoy popcorn and drinks! This is one of our favorite hall traditions.
Student Leadership Council Events
Each month, our B&I LLC Student Leadership Council plans an event for everyone to enjoy! Seasonal celebrations, bowling nights, field days, game nights, and so much more!
