FAQs
YES! First-year students are highly encouraged to apply for the B&I LLC. The majority of our students (over 90%!) are first-year students.
Priority consideration for admission to the Business & Innovation LLC is given to students majoring in the Hankamer School of Business. Students from other colleges are welcome to apply but will be considered for any remaining available spaces after Business majors have been reviewed.
Yess! Just follow the instructions in the process described here: Roommate Matching.
If you complete the application process before April 15 and are selected to live in Brooks Flats, you will be able to self-select from all rooms available in the B&I LLC.
Unfortunately, Brooks Flats is used only for registered students taking summer school classes. However, Brooks Flats is open during winter break, when most other residence halls are closed.
Yes! Spots are limited, but students can re-apply to live in Brooks Flats past their first year. These spots are generally reserved for Business students who are highly involved in the community.
Because of the great difference in facilities, it is more expensive to live in Brooks Flats than some of the other residence halls. Prices and comparison lists are on Campus Living & Learning's website at Housing rates. Because Brooks Flats housing is apartment style, you should check pricing on Apartment Single Gold and Apartment Double Gold.
Incoming students who apply by the housing deadline are eligible for roommate matching and room selection in their assigned residential community. Please visit Campus Living & Learning's website for more information on the housing application process.
There is a charge of $85 per semester. All funds are used to the direct benefit of B&I LLC residents. This includes hall programming, t-shirts, activities, guest speakers, social events, etc.
